Riml Isidor, a skier from Sölden, founded the ski school in 1928. The early years were small and modest with 3 ski instructors based in Hochsölden.
In 1934 Fender Serafin took over the management and led the company successfully, with a brief interrupting during the Second World War (1938-1943 Koller/Wanner) until the year 1977.
During the fifties, courses were held in Innerwald, and before that (in the 30's) summer courses took place on the Siegerlandhütte.
Martin Gstrein steered the fate of the ski school from 1978 until the end of the millenium handing over the management position in 2004.
During this time, Sölden, the ski resort and also our company changed a lot. It was in the seventies we moved up to our Giggijoch site and we also became the all-year-skischool by offering courses on the glacier.
Since the winter of 2004/2005, Gotthard Gstrein has been running the ski school. In the course of time, Sölden-Hochsölden ski school has established itself as an innovative leader in the snow sports industry. With approximately 130 highly trained and qualified teachers working for our guests. Despite the many changes one thing has remained the same since the beginning, namely the pure joy of skiing.
